Connect an AI Provider
Set up OpenAI, OpenRouter, Groq, or local connectors so AI features work reliably.
Why connectors matter
AI features in Agent for WhatsApp depend on a working connector. Without one, you can still use some local or manual workflows, but AI analysis and generation will not work as expected.
Supported connector paths
Depending on your plan and setup, the product can work with:
- OpenAI
- OpenRouter
- Groq
- local models
Setup checklist
For any connector, verify:
- the API key is valid
- the selected model is available
- your account plan allows the connector you want to use
- requests are not blocked by proxy or network policy
How to test quickly
After saving a connector, validate it by using one real workflow:
- refresh AI inquiry qualification for a lead
- generate a message from a template
- trigger a structured lead extraction run
If the result fails, the connector setup is not complete.
Best practice
Do not test with abstract prompts first. Test the connector inside the actual product workflow you care about, because that is what determines whether setup is good enough for production use.
